Cancer Action Rotherham's achievements
We have witnessed many positive changes in cancer treatment, and over the years the Group has influenced many of the developments of cancer care in Rotherham e.g. the planning of the chemotherapy suite, development of the Rotherham Cancer Care Centre, the acquisition of an information and support manager.
- Highlighted the need for more support for people affected by cancer, not just the patient but the carers and family/friends involved.
- Highlighted the need for better information.
- Provided a forum for people to raise issues.
